When a child is diagnosed with cancer, the entire family is affected. Siblings and their interactions contribute to the family’s overall function, and it’s important to consider their needs throughout the cancer experience. The healthy sibling can feel that they are a burden, have added responsibilities, increased fears, and feelings of isolation.  These feelings can be complicated by the constant changes and disruptions families face when a child is diagnosed with cancer. Camp Quality offers siblings a week long camp that allows them to interact with other siblings in a nurturing environment designed especially for them.
